The Opus series of concerts are live performances of student compositions. VMP determines the instrumentation and hires professional performers. All compositions in-progress are posted to the password protected website for feedback. Many are revised multiple times before the mentors select those pieces that will work best for live performance. The day of the event features rehearsal time for each young composer and the professional musicians, open workshop sessions and the evening concert.
